Analog output calculation

For example, the range is -40~+80 degrees Celsius, and the output is 4~20mA. When the output signal is 12mA, calculate the current temperature value.

This temperature range has a span of 120 degrees and is represented by a 16mA current signal.
120 degrees/16mA=7.5 degrees/mA, that is, a current of 1mA represents a temperature change of 7.5 degrees.
Measured value 12mA-4mA=8mA, 8mA*7.5 degrees/mA=60 degrees.

60+(-40)=20 degrees, the current temperature is 20 degrees.

Voltage output signal conversion calculation

For example, the range -40~+80 degrees Celsius, 0-10V output, when the output signal is 5V, calculate the current temperature value.

The span of this temperature range is 120 degrees, expressed by 10V voltage signal, 120 degrees/10V=12 degrees/V.
That is, a voltage of 1V represents a temperature change of 12 degrees, and a measured value of 5V-0V=5V, 5V*12 degrees/V=60 degrees.
60+(-40)=20 degrees, the current temperature is 20 degrees.

The above calculations are generally used for debugging and analysis. When actually connected to the PLC/DCS system, the ADC conversion and digital display are performed by the PLC or DCS
